正风毛笔字体是中国台湾的设计师Max基于衡山毛笔行书进行字符增补的一款毛笔字体。衡山毛笔行书字体是来自于日本书法家青柳衡山，修改前文字加符号数共7,582字，修改后文字加符号数共23,699字。第一阶段的补字已补齐台湾教育部列出的4,808个常用字，还是有些日常生活的常用字没有补到。
相较于正风毛笔字体的师兄莫大毛笔体，正风在个性上就随性很多，也造成有部份的一些字很粗，而有些字极细。原作者的“木”、“米”、“禾”系列常常会少一撇，是正常的，第一次看到会觉得有点怪，但是看久就会习惯了。
由于是正风毛笔字体并非原作者的补字，新加入的字在风格上，虽然力求一致，但是难免会与原作者会有一些不同。有很多很多字补的“超级丑”的，几乎大部份的字都有改善空间，如果有好心人有重做那些丑到爆（或长像怪怪）的字，可以E-mail发给Max，感谢。
正风毛笔字体包含了5个字重。原本的衡山毛笔行书字体放在Regular字重里，通过程序自动产生ExtraLight、Light、Medium、Bold等新的字重。Light字重是把原本的衡山毛笔行书微微调细一点点。在ExtraLight的字重裡，可能会因为笔划太细造成某些笔画消失。在Medium和Bold的字重里，可能会因为笔划太粗造成某些笔画重叠难以识别，有粗体字的需求，可以先尝试使用Bold字重看看，如果发现效果不如预期，再改用Medium字重。不能确定自动产生出来的字重里每一个都是完整的字，毕竟程序误判是常有的事情，所以不是在Regular字重里的笔划可能会消失。

本字体是基于改造书法家青柳衡山先生所开发、发表的“衡山毛笔フォント行书”字体增补而成。
本字型基于 SIL Open Font License 1.1 授权条款免费公开，关于授权合约的内容、免责事项等细节，请详读 License 文件。
可自由商用 不需付费、知会或标明作者，即可自由使用此字型，亦可做商业应用。
可自由传播，可自由分享字体、将字体安装于任何软硬件中。
可自由改作为其他字型 将字型档案修改重製为其他字型档案，改作后的字型档案须同样依 Open Font License 释出。
